Auction of Michael Jackson's Personal Possessions Canceled

Michael Jackson fans eager to get their hands on the singer's personal possessions will be sad to hear the auction, which was scheduled to take place April 22 to 25 in Beverly Hills, has been canceled.

It was announced Tuesday that Jackson had reached an agreement with Julien's Auction House, who had seized the almost 2,000 items from Neverland Ranch when Jackson gave up ownership last year.

While the specifics of the agreement are expected to remain confidential, a spokesperson for the auction house told E! Online that the memorabilia will remain on display in Beverly Hills until April 25:

There was so much interest from so many of Jackson's fans that instead of putting the items in the hands of private collectors, Dr. Tohme and Julien's Auction House have made arrangements that will allow the collection to be shared with and enjoyed by Jackson's fans for many years to come.

The items, which included the gates to Neverland Ranch, Elizabethan style paintings of the King of Pop, a number of sequined gloves and shoes and even some of the singer's awards and platinum records, were expected to fetch around $30 million.

After April 25, Jackson is expected to reclaim his possessions. But, since he lost Neverland Ranch, where will he take the huge inventory? Probably to the massive mansion he'll supposedly be renting while on tour in the UK. His Elizabethnan paintings will make the perfect decor.
