Cinema's friendly neighborhood wall-crawler might venture to the Wolverine State next year.

According to The Oakland Press, Michigan native Sam Raimi hopes to film scenes for Spider-Man 4 in his home state, which offers filmmakers tax incentives to bring productions there. "Raimi is slated to begin production on Spider-Man 4 in 2010, in fact and, he said, envisions shooting some of that movie in Michigan," the paper reports.

As Raimi told The Oakland Press, "I'll be looking at Michigan for our second-unit photography on the new Spider-Man film."

Shooting second unit outside of L.A. or New York is nothing new for a Spidey film. Some of Spider-Man 3 was shot in Cleveland, which doubled for parts of lower Manhattan.
