Plot Summary: New Regency and 20th Century Fox are turning the classic '50s TV series "Father Knows Best" into a feature.

The contemporized film will involve a father whose modern-day parenting displeases his more traditional father, who comes to live with the family. They clash over which father knows best.

The original series aried from 1954 - 1960 and starred Robert Young and Jane Wyatt, in this hit sitcom about a wise family man, Jim Anderson, his common-sense wife Margaret and their children Betty, Bud and Kathy. Whenever the kids need advice on anything at all, they can always turn to their father, because father knows best.
