Teen sensation Miley Cyrus may be a star of the small screen, but now she`s making a bid for box office success too.
Back with Hannah Montana: The Movie the 16-year-old said that the film is very significant for her future career plans.

"I feel like it is going to be able to introduce me to films not only because I am so much like the character but because it`s beautifully done," she said.

As in her TV show, Cyrus plays a regular schoolgirl by day and a pop star by night.

But her real-life father (Billy Ray Cyrus) decides she needs to get back to her small-town roots, so takes her on a surprise trip to her old Tennessee home where love and other complications ensue.

Billy Ray said: "She is very talented. She`s got a lot of heart and soul. She is very passionate about what she does and passionate about these fans," he said.

Cyrus has sold more than 7 million albums and her concert film, "Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour 3-D," raked in 65 million USD at US box offices.
