Naomi Campbell Discusses Her Infamous Anger

At 38, Naomi Campbell is still working hard, stomping down the runways and posing for the covers of magazines - most recently, Giant's May 2009 issue. The supermodel has had her fair share of negative press - from rumors of irrascible cattiness to the repeated allegations of abuse and assault - but she says she's been working hard to manage her anger, as well as her issues with substance abuse.

Campbell, who now shares a home in Moscow with her billionaire "other half," Vladislav Doronin, told Giant:

There comes a point when it all catches up with you and you have to deal with it. And that caused me to reassess myself and get real treatment for my anger and my addictions. Some people can handle a drink or a line of cocaine, but I've finally come to realize that for me, it's all or nothing - and it has to be nothing.

Campbell says she is in "The Program" (presumably Alcoholics Anonymous), where she's leared that she's "not able to drink alcohol."

The model, who was briefly rumored to have been pregnant last year, says she's also open to starting a family, but does not want to put herself under any undue pressure:

If God blesses me to have a child, I'd be gratefully welcoming to that child. But I'm not putting myself under that pressure. I'm happy that my life is just what it is.

The model, who was accused of assaulting employees with phones at least three times, still owns three phones: one for U.K. calls, another for U.S. calls, and a Blackberry strictly for texting. But she's not throwing them.

It's great to see Campbell so wonderfully self-reflective - perhaps the community service program (Campbell was sentenced to many hours following the assault convictions) really does a body - and a mind - good.
