Is Prince's New Song About Salma Hayek?
Is Prince in love with a married woman? He just might be if you interpret the lyrics to his new song "Valentina" a certain way.
Rumor has it that the song, off his new album MPLSoUND, is an ode to actress Salma Hayek, who's 18-month-old daughter is coincidentally named, Valentina.
In the song he sings to Valentina about her mother and his attraction, saying she's "curvier than a Fender Stratocaster guitar," and calling her a "Mexican bombshell here to conquer the West." The lyrics go:
Hey Valentina, tell your mama she should give me a call/ When she gets tired of runnin' after you down the hall/ And she's all worn out from those late-night feedings/ and she's ready for another rock and roll meeting.
According to US Weekly the singer met Hayek in 2006 when she directed the music video for his single "Te Amo Corazon," off the album 3121.
Sadly for Prince, the 42-year-old actress is permanently off the market. She married Valentina's father, French businessman Francois-Henri Pinault this past February.
But the singer already has a backup plan, Hayek's best friend Penelope Cruz. "If Penelope wants to Cruz," Prince sings in "Valentina." "There ain't no way that we ain't goin' dance." He really loves the latin ladies.
