American chat show titans Oprah Winfrey and Larry King are both bidding for an interview with cancer-stricken reality TV star Jade Goody.

They are said to be talking to Goody`s friend and publicist Max Clifford of the possibility of her appearing on US television via satellite link-up, either from her home or from the hospice where she is spending this weekend.

The 27-year-old former Big Brother star - who was recently told her cervical cancer had spread throughout her body and she has just months left to live - has been amazed at the international interest, saying: "This illness has made me famous all over the world."

Larry King and Oprah Winfrey host two of the most popular shows on American TV attracting millions of viewers.
