Matthew McConaughey stays in his comfort zone as a hound-dog bachelor haunted by the spirits of his many jilted exes — including that of Jennifer Garner — in Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (out May 1). The supernatural aspect of the movie, directed by Mean Girls' Mark Waters, drew the actor back onto the romantic-comedy battlefield. ''You can have more fun with the acting,'' he says. ''There's not a book on how you react when you find two chicks in your bed that happen to be ghosts.
