Overseas earning of James Bond

Marc Forster’s James Bond adventure “Quantum of Solace” held on to the top spot at the international box office with a whopping $106.5 million in ticket sales in 60 territories.

Just one week before opening in North America, the 22nd Bond flick continued its overseas reign, lifting its total gross to $160.3 million after jumping to the top of box office charts in every market it started this weekend.

Staying put at No. 2 with $13.6 million was Disney’s “High School Musical 3: Senior Year,” which lifted its overseas total to $109.4 million. Following in third place was “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa,” which reached a total of $40.2 million after weekend earnings of $9.2 million.

Meanwhile, Ridley Scott’s thriller “Body of Lies” finished fourth with $5.2 million, reaching a cumulative gross of $16.4 million on the international circuit. David Hackl’s “Saw V” followed at No. 5 with $5.1 million, bringing its total haul to $23 million.
