Taboids have been dying for an engagement story ever since Orlando Bloom started dating Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr in 2007. Now, they may be in luck: Kerr showed up to the Cannes Film Festival with some new bling on her left ring finger.

According to People, photos taken of Kerr and Bloom yesterday showed what appeared to be an engagement ring, but reps for the couple remained mum. Miranda's team said, "I am aware of the images. However, I am not in a position to comment."

It may not sound like much, but that's actually a step closer to confirmation. Considering Kerr's rep insisted engagement rumors last fall were completely false, a "no comment" seems suspiciously like a "yes."

In fact, Miranda flew to Cannes for just one night to be with Orlando, before flying back to New York the next day. The short trip sparked rumors that the Pirates of the Caribbean actor may have proposed right then.

Marriage doesn't seem too far-fetched for these two, since 26-year-old Kerr said last fall that she wants to have kids someday.
